My Weekend with The Gardeners

I spent some quality time with "The Gardeners" this weekend and now have 2 1/2 pages completed. Here is a picture:

Not much else to report. Next weekend is my SAL with Lana on "Coming Home for the Holidays".

Praying Hands progress

So I have managed to stitch a bit more on Praying Hands this week. Here is a progress pic:

I also stitched up a little something for a good friend of mine up north. She doesn't know it's coming yet and sometimes visits here so I won't post a pic until after I have sent and she has received.

This week has been crazy! Between work and home. I spent last Sunday evening in the Veteran's Hospital in Tampa. Nothing serious. Just needed a minor head wound checked. Not really a wound, but a cyst that keeps breaking open. I had several of these buggers removed in late 2008. Going for a general surgery consult on Wednesday afternoon to schedule more excisions. Probably 4 or 5 more will be removed. Then, praying that God will not allow these things to grow back again. But if He does, I will have them removed in a few years yet again.

Keeping my thoughts on God more than usual lately. I am certain it's a good thing! I have a lot to be thankful for right now and a few big worries (not the surgery). I feel like I need a change in my life. I am just waiting on God's timing to bring this change into existence. In the mean time, I will continue to shop around.

 

Praying Hands update

Well, after my last post I found that I was off 1 stitch in a small area on the left side of the design. Sooo, I frogged until I figured out where. I frogged too much, but I quickly restitched and made some significant progress. Here are some pics:

As promised, I have a couple of pics to share with you. I am so near completion of page 3! I am hoping to finish it today. Then only 3 partial pages to go!! I really want to finish this for Christmas this year so my mom can hang it on her wall and enjoy it finally. 

Joyful Frustration

OK, you may be wondering what the title means. That's alright! I am too, lol. Seriously though, I have been frustrated to the point of near exhaustion, yet have somehow remained joyful at the same time. I can't explain it. Maybe it's God working His way through me. I'm finding myself laughing a little more lately and that's a good thing. It sure beats the alternative. I still have moments, but I am learning how to deal with them and move on.

I have so many dreams, so many things I would love to do. I've had quite a few setbacks through the recent
10 years that I often wonder if any of my dreams will come to fruition. I know God has a purpose for me. Yes, I get rather impatient waiting on Him. But all I can do is wait. He is in control. He is in more control now than He was even as few as 2 years ago.

I've missed a couple of days in my reading of Proverbs, yet somehow I find that's alright. It's reflecting on what I have already read. It's picking up other little projects I have set aside for one reason or another. It's finding my own happiness in the world and grabbing hold as tight as I can.

Everything else will fall into place when it's supposed to.

I will post an update on Monday of my WIP (Ink Circles' Cirque des Carreaux) and maybe another one later tonight on Proverbs.

I've actually gotten a little more filled in on the top diamond than what is showing here. I am going to try to work on it a little more this week and hope to get page 3 done!

And I decided to make another something special to take on my trip in little more than a week. I started this piece last night and finished it (minus the frame) a little while ago.
